Optimization of energy management for a rubber compound company
A rubber compound company gained insight into the consumption of the biggest energy consumers in the company through the use of measuring cases. A collection of measures related to proper energy management, such as adjusting settings, turning off equipment when not in use, and optimizing oven and press consumption, led to a saving of about 25% (€100,000) on the energy bill.
Every residential house nowadays has a smart meter. They know exactly what it costs if a washing machine runs an hour shorter or longer. But in the manufacturing industry?
